Film Review
HE SWAM AGAINST THE COLONIAL CURRENT
[ Add Comment ]
K. Subrahmanyam gave up his profession as a lawyer to become a film director. He advocated social renaissance and reforms through several films and made films promoting the spirit of the freedom struggle during the colonial era. One such film, Thyaga Bhoomi, was banned some weeks after its release. This documentary uses extracts from his available films to pay a tribute to him, touching upon his personal life and philosophy, his contribution to the development of the South Indian Film Industry and the catholicity of his attitude of universal brotherhood.
