The Film is a journey into India's food heritage and the biodiversity of its crops. It delves into the reasons for the shrinking of this diversity and the homogenisation of our food preferences. The journey also takes the protagonist into a search for the larger repercussions of this homogenisation of tastes and demands - the health ramifications and the effects on farming, soil and cropping patterns and the ecology.
