Trained in Cinematography from FTII, Shaji Karun is an Independent filmmaker who has worked with filmmakers like G. Aravindan and completed over 40 feature films as Director of Photography. Recipient of seven National Film Awards, he has won numerous national and international awards for the films like Piravi, Swaham, Vanaprastham and Nishad. He has been decorated with Chevalier dans I'Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the Ministry of Culture, Government of France for his contribution to cinema internationally.
